Commemorative Awards

At the 2007 Awards ceremony, the Guild presented four commemorative awards to recognise special achievements in the world of garden communication. These were presented to: John Cushnie to mark six decades of BBC Radio 4’s Gardeners’ Question Time; Derek Cox of BBC Radio Leicester’s Down to Earth to celebrate 40 years of continuous broadcasting of the programme; Monty Don and series producer Rosemary Edwards to celebrate 40 years of Gardeners’ World; and Peter Seabrook to mark his run of 30 years as gardening editor for The Sun.
